Scint-X CCD | |
Scint-X CCD Detector has special structured scintillator (micromachined silicon pores filled to CsI) from Scint-X which is designed to have better spatial resolution than a standard columnar grown CsI at high-energies. It uses a 1:1 Fiber Optic Plate designed to absorb high-energy x-rays from hitting the CCD. The specs on the scintillator are: Pore spacing: 25.7 microns (hex structure); Scintillator layer thickness: 200-225 microns; Silicon substrate thickness: 500 microns; MTF: typically 40% at 10 lp/mm. The detector active area is 36 x 24 mm. The system is described in this paper from Scint-X (pdf). |
