APS-U Sector 9-ID

Sector 9-ID is the home of the APS-U feature beamline CSSI, operated by the Dynamics and Structure Group. The program in nanoscale structure, kinetics and dynamics hosts two instruments supporting three techniques:

  • Coherent Surface Scattering Imaging (CSSI)
  • Grazing-Incidence X-ray Scattering (GISAXS and GIWAXS)
  • Grazing-Incidence X-Ray Photon Correlation Spectroscopy (GI-XPCS)

Specifications for the 9-ID-D beamline are in the 9-ID-D beamline directory entry. 9-ID will become available for general users when scientific commissioning is complete, anticipated for the 2025-2 cycle.
