ROBERT SCHOENLEIN

Research interests: r. Schoenlein is currently the Deputy Director for Science at the Linac Coherent Light Source at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, and is an affiliated PI with SLAC Chemical Sciences Division and the Stanford PULSE Institute.He was previously with the Chemical Sciences and Materials Sciences Divisions at the Berkeley Lab, and served as the Deputy Director for Science at the Advanced Light Source. Current research activities are in the application of ultrafast X-ray spectroscopy and diffraction techniques to investigate atomic and electronic structural dynamics in condensed matter including transition-metal complexes, molecular dynamics in solution, and electronic phase transitions in correlated electron systems.

Current position: LCLS Deputy Director for Science, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
