The mission of the Photon Sciences Directorate’s Portfolio Management Office is to develop and maintain a cohesive suite of efforts which, in conjunction with the APS Upgrade Project, will further the strategic goals of the PSC. The PMO will develop and manage an integrated, multi-year, resource-loaded portfolio of Operations funded projects to support:

1. Readiness for the APS-U Project
2. Maintenance and obsolescence mitigation to ensure reliable x-ray beam delivery and mature accelerator operation, and
3. The PSC long-term strategy for continued science excellence at the APS
