Biography:

Yuri Shvyd'ko presently is a staff senior scientist at the Argonne National Laboratory, Advanced Photon Source, IL, USA. He graduated from the Moscow Engineering and Physics Institute in 1978, received his PhD degree in physics in 1984 from Kurchatov Institute, Moscow, and habilitation in physics in 2002, from Hamburg University, Germany.
