Samuel Clark is a Beamline Scientist at the Advanced Photon Source at the Argonne National Laboratory where he works at the 32-ID,B,C high speed imaging beamline. He principal field of research is in the in-situ characterization of additive manufacturing processes. More details about the additive manufacturing activities at APS can be found here.
Education:
April 2014 – February 2019: TATA Steel ICASE PhD, The University of Warwick, UK.
September 2012 – November 2013: Master of Science in Sustainable Energy and Power Engineering, University of Lincoln, UK.
October 2009 – June 2012: Bachelor of Engineering, University of Durham, UK.
November 2020 – Onwards: Physicist – Argonne National Laboratory Chicago. I will work as part of the X-Ray Imaging Group (IMG) of the Advanced Photon Source (APS) at Argonne National Laboratory, in the field of high-speed imaging and diffraction.
June 2018 – October 2020: Research Fellow - University College London – Lee research group transfers from University of Manchester to University College London.
August 2017 – May 2018: Research Associate - University of Manchester - Research associate within Prof. Peter Lee’s group on the Future Manufacturing Hub in Manufacture using Advanced Powder Processes (MAPP). I helped design unique process replicators to facilitate in-situ characterisation of additive manufacturing process replicators using high-speed synchrotron real and reciprocal space imaging.
