Printing from the Wireless Network

Printing is currently supported from the visitor wireless network, APS Guest. In order to setup the printer, please follow the directions below...

 

Printer configuration for Windows 10:

  1. Click to view PDF for Windows 10

Printer configuration for Mac OS X:

  1. Go to System Preferences
  2. Print & Fax
  3. Click on the +
  4. Click on the IP Printer "tab"
  5. Select Protocol: HP Jet Direct - Socket (doesn't matter what printer brand)
  6. Then type in the printer name or printer IP address in the Address:
  7. field. You may need a fully qualified printer name: printer.aps.anl.gov.
  8. If the name is legitimate or not, it will tell you so.
  9. Then just click the Add button to add it to your printer list.

Printer configuration for Linux Gnome:

  1. Click the upper right corner drop down menu.
  2. Click the Settings wrench icon.
  3. Select Devices on the left side.
  4. Select Printers.
  5. Click Unlock.
  6. Enter the administrator password.
  7. Click Add.
  8. Select a printer in the list found on the network OR enter a printer's network address.

Please enter a Vector ticket if you have trouble or problems printing.
