| The liberal arts and sciences have been at the foundation of Illinois Wesleyan University. In the Fall of 2014, IWU has invited 3 speakers for the program “Re-centering the Humanities”, sponsored by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Taking place in the wonderful Evelyn Chapel, Volker Rose delivered a talk at the evening convocation on September 18. In his presentation he explained how cutting edge science can be used to serve cultural heritage. During the day Volker Rose had met with university student groups to talk about his career. He further had taught a course about x-ray microscopy to an Imaging Class at IWU. |
