The Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) is responsible for advising the APS Associate Laboratory Director. It evaluates the scientific output and facility utilization for all APS sectors and examines the performance for existing Collaborative Access Teams (CATs). On March 17, 2015, the SAC reviewed the XSD Microscopy and Imaging beamlines as well as the CNM/XSD nanoprobe beamline. Nozomi Shirato was one of the invited speakers to present about the SX-STM development and experiments carried out at ID26. In his presentation he emphasized how capabilities of SX-STM effectively complement the already existing techniques at the beamline. |
