I am pleased to report that the DOE Status Review of the APS Upgrade Project held on June 13 was very successful. The goal of the review was to assess the Project’s readiness for the CD-2 review scheduled for December 4-6, 2012 in areas of Project Scope, Cost and Schedule, and Management. The closeout presentation immediately following the review clearly and unequivocally showed that the reviewers were pleased with progress in all three areas. The success of the Status Review is a success for the entire APS. I am confident that with your continued support, hard work and dedication, we will be ready for the next important milestone prior to the CD-2 review, the Director’s Review scheduled for September 11-13.
