Description

Abstract:

In this talk, the new Brazilian Light Source Sirius will be introduced, as well as our in-house developments, focusing on optical and mechanical systems. The parameters and tolerances of the optical elements for Sirius beamlines will be reviewed, demonstrating new demands for the optical elements. Then, some of the in-house systems developed to address these demands will be presented, namely: the High-Dynamics Double Crystal Monochromator (HD-DCM), which is compliant with 10 nrad RMS inter-crystal parallelism in the bandwidth up to 2.5 kHz; the mirrors systems, which allows 6-axis alignment with resonance frequencies above 150 Hz and cryo-cooling (optional); the tender X-ray nanoprobes TARUMA, with focus size down to 100 nm and 450 mm working distance, and SAPOTI (cryogenic sample), with 40 nm focus size and 55 mm working distance. Our metrology (mechanical and optical) laboratories and their instruments will be reviewed, and some perspectives regarding in-house optics fabrication will be discussed.
