Sector Orientation

Prior to working in the Sector 11 Chemistry Lab, you are required to take APS211 Sector Orientation.  Read the attached .pdf and follow the link at the end to submit for credit.

Glove Box

All glove box users need to have for the following:

Argon-atmosphere dry glovebox for assembling battery cells supplied with: small antechamber for quick convenient access; large antechamber for introducing bulky supplies and equipment; crimpling tool compatible with 2032 coin cells, analytical balance, heat sealing iron and corrosion resistant bags, fridge/freezer unit, lithium metal, most common standard lithium electrolytes and other basic supplies necessary for battery cells preparation.


Three portable 8-channel MACCOR® battery cyclers capable of running independent, parallel experiments. Cyclers can be rolled into the stations on carts equipped with basic tools and accessories most commonly used in battery experimental setups.

  • Bench space and standard laboratory consumables
