Abstract

The High Energy Photon Source (HEPS) is a green-field 4th generation storage ring-based synchrotron light source project using a multibend achromat lattice, under construction at a new laboratory site outside of Beijing, China. I will provide a general introduction to the project, an overview of the design of the accelerator systems, and a brief description of the initial beam lines along with the progress and schedule for all of these areas.
