I'm unable to find anything in the docs addressing this so...
I'm implementing a soft IOC under Linux that connects to a variety of
devices over ethernet, using Asyn, Modbus and StreamDevice.
The host system has two NICs, one for the facility network and a private
one for these devices.
The IOC runs. It connects to the devices and successfully communicates
with at least one of them.
However, when I try to use "caget" on the host to access the IOC channels,
it just times out.
lsof shows:
istCoolin 5489 epicsdev 9u IPv4 136863 0t0 TCP *:ca-1 (LISTEN)
istCoolin 5489 epicsdev 10u IPv4 136864 0t0 UDP asym.mit.edu:33586->172.18.0.255:ca-2
istCoolin 5489 epicsdev 11u IPv4 136865 0t0 UDP *:ca-1
I have used soft IOCs before without any such issues but they were in a
single-network environment.
