Matej sent a message to Ernest Williams on this topic, cc:ing some others including me. I think nobody noticed that the message never got out on tech-talk. I have not tried build 1278, but Ernest said it worked for him.

Depends what you want. Do you want undo or not? How complex UI it is? :)
But from head would say something like one week of work.

We just found out the very same facts last week.
This also applies to the 3.0 beta version on SourceForge [1], which
actually feels more like pre-alpha.
