I am trying to update some old edl pages to use a more recent version of EDM but I have run into a snag. These pages were using a class of object that I don't think is supported anymore. At least EDM complains about not finding it. I get, 'Error creating object "StripClass"', with edm version 1-12-41. In searching through the archives I found that this question had come up before in 2008.

I can't find any continuation on the thread to see if he ever got an answer. Is this object class truly discontinued? Is there a simple way to adapt x-y plot to get a stripchart like output?
