We test our EPICS apps on one subnet and install them on another.
This makes it necessary to have different environment settings
depending on which subnet we're on. (Don't want to base settings
only on machine name.)
On Linux or Solaris we figure we could have the host use nslookup
to get its IP number and then parse the results. Has anyone else
already coded this or a better solution?
If not, I'll post ours when it's done.
Thanks in advance,
Susanna
