     Janet and I are planning to do some maintenance on StripTool to fix
some problems and add some features.  One of the things that I would like to
change is to have a default filename extension or suffix for StripTool
configuration files (like .adl goes with MEDM).  (.st , .stp, and .str come
to mind).  The file open dialog would open with a filter to *.xxx, where xxx
is the default filename extension or suffix, instead of to * as it currently
does, which in some directories can resolve to a large number of irrelevant
files.  If you would like to nominate your favorite or otherwise comment,
feel free.
