There is an unbundled version for 3.14 in CVS that doesn't have a web page
yet; Marty or I will create a suitable page when we can find time).  For
earlier releases it should be present in base, so use that version (the
3.14 one has a 'configure' directory instead of 'config' so isn't
backwards compatible).

The vxStats device support provides this for you.  There are usage
instructions in the comments at the beginning of the devVXStats.c source
file, including example database entries.
