JDCT, the Java version of the Database Configuration Tool (DCT), is
now available for building EPICS database (.db) files. The tool was
developed on a PC/Win95 platform and can also be used on Unix systems
with Java 1.1.7.  Also available is dbStaticJava,  the Java version
of the EPICS base db library. which  is required by Jdct. User doc-
umentation for Jdct is included in the tar file which is available
via the web from the APS EPICS distribution page.  All questions and
