Epics Meeting @ BESSY next week

Dear participants,

the EPICS meeting at BESSY will start next Monday 9:00 with a sequence of
tutorials given in the seminar room of the BESSY main building. 

The sessions will begin Monday at 14:00 in the `Newton Kabinett',
Bld. 12.2, and will end on Wednesday afternoon with a tour of the BESSY
site. Please check

for recent details, directions etc. For Tuesday evening we are organizing a
common dinner at the `Skales Bar' Greek restaurant. We will need a head count
of those interested in attending not later than Tuesday noon.

You should be aware that it is grim cold in Europe. Temperatures would be
typical for January - for November several temperature records have been
broken this week. During the last couple of days maximum temperatures in
Berlin did not exceed a few degrees C _below_ the freezing point.
Forecasts predict a relaxed situation for next week and the meeting rooms are
heated - but you should be prepared.
