Safety, Paul Rossi
Rossi discussed the recent laser incident and mentioned that no one had been injured. A User was wearing incorrect glasses and thought that the laser had hit his eyes. Luckily, this was not the case. During the investigation, it was discovered that the laser was incorrectly marked and is actually a 3B laser. Rossi also announced that the clean sweep would continue for a few more days.

Status of Start Up, Karen Schroeder
Schroeder announced that everything was ready to go for the start up at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1st. A discussion followed about the recent power failure and the notification process.

ESAFs and User Training, Bruce Glagola
Glagola did a quick presentation on ESAFs and User Training. The power point presentation is attached to these minutes.

Kevin Beyer asked that everyone watch their gas cylinder storage and make sure that the cylinders are stored according to proper procedures.
