Operations Update, Mark Beno

The power outage that occurred last Monday resulted from a breaker in the Bldg. 249 switchyard. Argonne was responsible, not ComEd or APS. We experienced a drop later in the week.. A tornado spotted in Romeoville caused a 1/2-hour downtime.

An email was sent to everyone from M. Gibson indicating his expectations of ISM day.

This week a follow up walk through will take place in the sectors. Expect detailed OSHA style inspections in the future.

During the tornado warning yesterday, floor coordinators conducted rounds and discovered people were not adhering to the warning signal. It is unacceptable to ignore this warning. Reoccurrence of noncompliance will result in disciplinary action.
