Operations Update, Mark Beno

The emergency exercise scheduled for Saturday, June 9 th should not affect the APS although sirens may be heard.

Safety, Edmund Chang

An industrial hygiene survey for lead in the machine shops will be held on June 11 th at 1:30 p.m. It will start in Bldg. 438 and work backwards.

Startup Problems, John Quintana

Beamlines incurred startup problems caused by a number of factors including the resetting of Chain B in some of the beamlines PSS systems, and delays caused by the use of a new electronic CCWP's system. Between 9-20 beamlines were affected with some startups delayed until late afternoon. The problems will be fixed before the startup for the 2007-3 run.

Experimental Station Pinch Points, Andy Stevens

Pinch points have been identified on many of the experimental hutch doors. We ask that the beamline staff identify pinch points to users as part of the training process. If beamline staff identify problematic areas they would like to have addressed please contact Andy Stevens,
