Operations Update, Mark Beno

Problems encountered at Sectors 4 were due to firmware in the PSS system.


  • 98.6% - scheduled beamtime
  • 111 hrs. Meantime between faults

Safety, Edmund Chung

Designated Electrical Equipment Inspector (DEEI) training will be conducted sometime in April. Contact your TMS representative for enrollment. Attendees must be qualified to do the job.

Sectors 13-19 March inspections are complete. Inspections scheduled for April will include Sectors 21, 22, 23, 24, and 31. Thank you for your cooperation during the management assessment of the laser and hydrogen equipment.

Toxic Release Inventory - An email was sent to the Machine Shop Coordinators. Responses are due by April 14 th .

Storage Mezzanine Signage Please contact Jim Lang to remove any old signage.

Shoe Mobile The current contractor is going out of business and inventory may be low. If safety shoes are needed, they may be purchased off site. Reimbursement is up to $110.00 with an ANL-88.

Cryogenic Pumps, John Quintana

If you are using the loose flange method for over-pressure protection, please contact the MOM group.

Please be careful when storing gas cylinders due to the over filling of the cages.
