Information and Follow-up

There was a question from last week's meeting about the use/definition of the term "user" when reporting Beamline downtime. It was suggested that the word Beamline be used instead.

Glenn talked about the goal to assign specific groups who will review and determine the corrective actions necessary.

Mark Rivers asked whether he could open his beam-line shutter during the shielding verification of 16-ID.

He was advised that the shielding verification was at 30 milliamps and in the afternoon. Mark said these condition and time did not suit his purpose.

John Quintana asked what is required if he wanted to take beam.

Bill said to send an e-mail making the request to open shutters (detail information of use) during machine studies and that he would make the formal request which requires approval from the AOD Division Director or the Radiation Physicist.
