The 13 IDE hard x-ray microprobe provides researchers resources for microfocused X-ray fluorescence

Beamline Controls and Data Acquisition

EPICS for instrument and detector control. Python and IDL for data acquisition and processing.

  • Vortex 4-element and single element detector
  • Perkin Elmer amorphous silicon
  • MAR 165 CCD and MAR-345 image plate

Additional Equipment

  • Peltier cooled sample stage
  • Ultraviolet light illuminator
  • Laboratory facilities including microscopes, fume hood, glove box, etc.
