Beamline 3-ID-B,C,D: NRIXS, HERIX, and SMS

Description

This beamline offers the following three areas: nuclear resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (NRIXS) with about 1 meV resolution, momentum-resolved inelastic x-ray scattering with about 2 meV resolution (HERIX), and synchrotron Moessbauer spectroscopy with about 10 neV resolution (SMS). Sector 3-ID is operated by the IXN group within X-ray Science Division (XSD).

Beamline Controls and Data Acquisition

All data aquisition on the beamline is performed on LINUX-based computer using EPICS-based applications running on VME-based electronics. MEDM is used as a graphical interface to display and control various EPICS based devices.
